How to Clear a Google Calendar

Method 1: Delete events manually

1. Open Google Calendar at calendar.google.com
2. Click on the event you want to remove
3. Click the bin icon to delete it
4. For recurring events, choose whether to delete just this event, this and following events, or all events in the series

Limitation: This works for a handful of events, but becomes impractical quickly. If you have more than a few dozen events to remove, manual deletion will take a very long time.

Method 2: Delete a recurring series

If most of your unwanted events come from recurring meetings or reminders:

1. Click on any instance of the recurring event
2. Click the edit (pencil) icon
3. In the delete confirmation, select All events from the series

Limitation: You need to do this separately for every recurring series. If you have dozens of recurring events across several years, this still takes considerable time.

Method 3: Delete an entire calendar

If you want to remove all events from a calendar permanently:

1. In Google Calendar, find the calendar in the left sidebar
2. Click the three dots next to the calendar name
3. Select Settings and sharing
4. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete this calendar
