WipeAway only removes events — it never deletes, modifies or affects the calendar itself.
Only the events you selected — those in the calendars you ticked, before the cut-off date you set — are removed. Nothing else is touched.
This is the key reason people use WipeAway rather than deleting and recreating a calendar. If you delete a calendar and create a new one to start fresh, you lose all the sharing permissions that may have taken time to set up correctly, and any integrations that referenced the original calendar's ID would break.
WipeAway removes the events while leaving the calendar infrastructure completely intact — so nothing that depends on that calendar is affected.
Important: While the calendar itself is never affected, the events that are deleted are gone permanently. They cannot be recovered after deletion. See Can I undo a deletion? for more detail.
