If WipeAway shows a completion screen but you can still see events in your Google Calendar after waiting a few minutes, there are a few possible explanations.
Google Calendar caches event data. After a large deletion, the Calendar view may take several minutes to catch up. Refresh the page, or sign out of Google Calendar and sign back in. If events disappear after doing this, the deletion worked correctly.
Events that appear in your Google Calendar view may belong to a calendar you did not select in WipeAway. Click on one of the remaining events to see which calendar it belongs to, then check whether that calendar was included in your deletion.
WipeAway only removes events before the cut-off date you set. Events on or after that date are intentionally left untouched. Check whether the remaining events fall after your cut-off date.
Calendars shown with a "View only" label cannot be cleaned — WipeAway does not have the permissions needed to delete events from them. Any events on those calendars will remain regardless of your deletion.
If the deletion was interrupted (for example, by a network drop or the browser being closed), some events may not have been processed. Sign back into WipeAway, select the same calendar, run a fresh count, and confirm a follow-up deletion if events remain.
Still seeing events that should have been deleted? Contact us with the calendar name, the cut-off date you used, and roughly how many events remain — we will investigate.
