Can WipeAway keep my sharing permissions while removing events?

WipeAway FAQ·1 min read·Updated July 2026
Short answer

Yes. WipeAway removes events only. The calendar itself, its sharing permissions, its colour, its name, and every integration connected to it remain exactly as they were.

This is the fundamental reason people use WipeAway rather than deleting and recreating a calendar. Deleting a Google Calendar removes it entirely — including all the sharing permissions that took time to configure and any integrations that reference its internal ID. WipeAway touches none of this. Only the events are removed.

After a WipeAway deletion, every person who had access to the calendar still has the same level of access. Every booking system, MIS, or third-party tool connected to the calendar continues to function normally.
