Most project teams use a shared Google Calendar to track milestones, meetings, deadlines, and key events. When a project ends, that calendar contains months of completed entries that are no longer operationally relevant — but the calendar itself, with its sharing configuration, may be worth keeping for the next project.
If you want to retain a record of the project's events for reference, export the calendar first (Google Calendar → Settings → Import & Export → Export) to save an ICS file. Then clear the events using WipeAway. The calendar remains available for the next project; the ICS file provides a historical archive if needed.
If no archive is needed and the calendar will be used for a new project, clear it directly with WipeAway. Update the calendar name to reflect the new project and it is ready to use immediately — without needing to reinvite team members or reconfigure integrations.
If the calendar will not be reused and has no ongoing value, delete it. Be aware that this removes it from every team member's Calendar list and cannot be undone.
For ongoing teams that run sequential projects, maintaining a consistent project calendar — and clearing it between projects rather than deleting and recreating it — avoids the overhead of re-sharing with the same team every time. The calendar becomes a persistent container that gets cleaned out between uses.
Recurring project meetings — weekly standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives — are handled automatically by WipeAway. Past instances are removed; any future instances (if the series continues) are left in place.
