What happens when my licence expires?

WipeAway Help Centre·2 min read·Updated July 2026

When a 12-month WipeAway licence expires, access to the application is suspended until the licence is renewed. Your key is not deleted — it simply becomes inactive.

What you will see when a licence expires

If you try to sign in with an expired key, WipeAway will show a message telling you that your licence has expired and prompting you to renew. You will not lose any of your Google Calendar data — only WipeAway access is affected.

How to renew

  1. Visit wipeaway.app/#pricing and purchase a new licence
  2. You will receive a new key by email
  3. Enter the new key when signing in to restore access

Alternatively, contact us if you would like us to apply the renewal directly to your existing account so your key stays the same.

Individual Lifetime licence holders are not affected by expiry — lifetime licences never expire and require no renewal.

Is there a grace period?

There is currently no automatic grace period — access ends on the expiry date. If you need continued access, renew before your licence expires. If you miss the renewal date, simply purchase again and your access will be restored immediately.

Reminders

We do not currently send automatic expiry reminder emails. Make a note of your purchase date so you can renew before it expires if you plan to continue using WipeAway.
