WipeAway says 0 events but I know I have more

If WipeAway counts 0 events but you can clearly see events in Google Calendar, one of the following is usually the cause.

Your cut-off date is too recent

WipeAway counts events that occur before your cut-off date. If you set a cut-off date of today, or a date in the recent past, and the events you can see are after that date, the count will correctly show 0 — because nothing before your date qualifies for deletion.

Try setting your cut-off date further into the past and counting again.

The events are on a different calendar

Google Calendar can display events from multiple calendars at once, including shared calendars and subscribed public calendars. The events you see in your Calendar view may belong to a calendar you did not select in WipeAway. Click on one of the events to see which calendar it belongs to, then make sure that calendar is selected in WipeAway.

The selected calendar is empty before your cut-off date

It is possible the calendar you selected genuinely has no events before your cut-off date — the events you are seeing in Google Calendar may all be after that date. Check the dates of a few events to confirm.

You are signed in with a different Google account

Check which Google account is shown in the WipeAway sidebar. If it is a different account from the one you used to check Google Calendar, you may be looking at different sets of calendars. Sign out and sign in with the correct account.
